Alec Boreham, MSAI
Throughout my live I have always have had in interest in architecture and drawing, including drawing in art classes at School when I was a teenager. More recently I have developed a highly detailed pencil hand drawn style.
As part of my Education, I have completed a number of online courses at the University of Oxford including:
- Western Architecture : the Modern Era
- Islamic Art and Architecture
- Learning to look at Western Architecture
I draw from life and from my own photographs and have a particular interest in the classic buildings of Eastern Europe including Turkey and the Islamic World.
I also enjoy drawing sketches around London using a more relaxed freestyle of drawing. I produce art for sale and my portfolio and story can be seen on line at https://www.alecboreham.com
Since 2019 I have been collaborating with set designer Franz Vitali and we have produced opera set projections based on my artwork. This lead to working with Franz with The Warsaw Chamber Opera for the Opera, Castor et Pollux, staged in Poland at the end of November 2021.
